Windstar Cruises has revealed details of Wind Spirit’s Canary Islands debut, operating from November 2026 through January 2027. New 9-night itineraries form the core of the Canary Islands program, with unique cruise activities offered such as camel treks on sand dunes, volcanic toboggan rides and more.

Windstar Cruises will commemorate its 40th anniversary season, starting October 2024, when two ships and their guests meet up in Kusadasi, Turkey on 16 October.  ‘

Windstar Cruises’ Star Breeze has commenced its year-round deployment in Tahiti and French Polynesia this week, replacing Wind Spirit. The move, foreshadowed 12 months ago, provides a significant bump in capacity for Windstar Cruises in the Pacific.

Windstar Cruises has revealed a multi-million dollar initiative to redesign all three of its classic sailing yachts – 148-guest Wind Star and Wind Spirit, and 342-guest Wind Surf.

Windstar Cruises has released its sailing schedule through summer of 2025, with several key deployment moves for its fleet of six ships.

Windstar Cruises is intent on expanding its fleet of six ships, President Chris Prelog confirmed at an event in Sydney last week, saying “we’re actively looking”. Prelog was in Australia meeting with travel partners and media following the first visit by a Windstar Cruises’ ship, Star Breeze, to local waters between November 2022 and mid-February 2023.

Windstar Cruises has recommenced its cruises in French Polynesia/the Islands of Tahiti aboard Wind Spirit, signalling the restart of half the small-ship cruise line’s fleet since the pandemic pause.

Bookings have opened for Windstar Cruises’ 2022 voyages around the globe, which includes whistle-stop visits to Australia.

Windstar Cruises will operate a series of sailing to Australia and New Zealand for the 2020/21 winter-spring season, offered aboard the newly renovated Star Breeze.
