In September 2022, Viking will offer a unique 44-day itinerary that sails from Tromsø, Norway in the Arctic Circle through to Whalers Bay, at the opposite end of the earth on the Antarctic Peninsula. The cruise was revealed in the newly rolled-out Viking Expedition Cruises’ brochure, which showcases Antarctica, The Arctic, Great Lakes of North America and the Galapagos Islands – uncovered first by LATTE.

Where the twin ships will sail, what will be onboard, and what is the Nordic Balcony?
Viking has confirmed a launch date of January 2022 for the first ship of its new expedition division, with voyages planned for Antarctica and North America’s Great Lakes. Viking Octantis will embark on explorations in the US states of Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada, ahead of the second ship, Viking Polaris, which will offer voyages to Antarctica and the Arctic from August 2022.
