Viking’s newest ship for the Nile River — the 82-guest Viking Aton — was “floated out” last week, marking a major construction milestone and the first time the ship has touched water.

Viking has reported a groundswell in interest for its Egypt river cruise program. Sales have spiked 25% in recent weeks after the cruise company announced in late January a new addition to its fleet – Viking Aton.
