LATTE trials JAL’s lie-flat Business class experience
I’m extremely fortunate that my first time flying to Japan, and thus my maiden experience with Japan Airlines, is up the front in the Sky Suite cabin. Japan Airlines (JAL) has three iterations of its Sky Suite and this is version one. Scheduled to depart Sydney at 8:15 am, it’s a 9 hour and 50 minute service to Tokyo, ample time to immerse myself in all the product has to offer.

New Sydney-Sapporo seasonal service kicks off today
Qantas has today confirmed the launch of its new Melbourne-Tokyo Haneda route, commencing 29 March 2020. The year-round service will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, and will replace Qantas’ existing Melbourne-Tokyo Narita service.

New route to complement long-standing Tokyo Narita operation
Finnair is introducing a new direct service to Tokyo ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games. The Finnish carrier already operates daily flights between Helsinki and Tokyo Narita. It will introduce daily services to Tokyo Haneda using Airbus A350-900 aircraft effective 29 March, 2020, subject to slot availability.

Daily non-stop flights from Tokyo to launch on 17 February 2019
Japan’s All Nippon Airways is expanding its services to Europe with the upcoming launch of a new daily non-stop route from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Vienna International Airport. ANA will begin the new Austrian route from 17 February 2019, utilising Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Vienna will be the cornerstone of ANA’s strategy to meet growing business demand for flights connecting Asia and Europe.
