Urban Resort Concepts (URC) has flagged a 2022 opening for the first villa-only resort set within the mountains of Moganshan, China. The 80-key PuYun Hotel and Spa will add to URC’s global portfolio of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts, including The PuLi Hotel and Spa, Shanghai, The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, Beijing and The RuMa Hotel and Residences, Kuala Lumpur, with eight further properties under development in Dubai, Bangkok, Phuket, Kota Kinabalu, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Xi’An and Shanghai.

UrbanResorts made its name with The PuLi, in Shanghai. Its latest luxury hotel, The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, opened February 2019 at the north-east corner of Beijing’s Forbidden City. It is a fascinating concept, soaring up to the ninth floor rooftop, above Guardian Auction space – the owner of the 116-room hotel, Chen Dongsheng, is not only Beijing’s auction king but also one of China’s insurance supremos.
