A 4.6 hectare behind-the-scenes area of Singapore Zoo is set to be converted into a 366-room resort operated by Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Currently home to back-of-house facilities, the resort will be integrated into the site and aims to encourage guests to be conscious of and care for the plants and animals in the surrounding Mandai rainforest.
