Sea Cloud Cruises has named Chef Michael Collantes as a guest chef onboard Sea Cloud Spirit for a sailing from Nice to Barcelona, departing on 5 October 2024.

The Yacht Portfolio, the maritime investment company which owns soon-to-launch The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, has entered into a letter of intent to acquire Sea Cloud Cruises following several months of discussions.

Sea Cloud Cruises has confirmed that Infanta Elena of Spain, the sister of the country’s King Felipe VI, will christen the company’s new five-star yacht, Sea Cloud Spirit.

Sea Cloud Cruises has revealed it plans to resume operations on 17 March 2021 after its pandemic pause. The cruise company’s two vessels, Sea Cloud I and Sea Cloud II, will operate a series of round-trip voyages around the Canary Islands and Greek Islands through until May 2021, providing a buffer should further COVID-19 travel restrictions come into play.

The first of three masts have been erected on Sea Cloud Spirit in what is being billed as a “decisive phase” in the development of the new ship.

Sea Cloud Cruises has confirmed it is now taking firm bookings for its new yacht, Sea Cloud Spirit. The news comes following careful inspection of the current status of the new build. CEO Daniel Schäfer said the cruise company is convinced “the Sea Cloud Spirit will be delivered on time”.
