French Riviera town Villefranche-sur-mer will also ban larger cruise ships, under the same decree that will see neighbouring Nice turn away ships carrying more than 900-guests.

Nice will become the next city to ban cruise ships, with the city’s mayor declaring that cruise ships that exceed 190 metres and a capacity of 900 passengers will be denied access to the city’s port from 1 July 2025.

Today, says the gal, it is owned by the Estènes’ great-granddaughter, Marianne Estène-Chauvin, and run by her son, Antoine Marianne Estène-Chauvin, and their GM, Stéphane Vuillaume.
