Australia’s first Mondrian property has welcomed its first guests to its Burleigh Heads location, with the Mondrian Gold Coast now officially open.

Bookings have opened for Mondrian Gold Coast ahead of its June launch when it will usher in a new era of lifestyle luxury for the Gold Coast as Mondrian’s first hotel in Australia.

This year, 2025, is shaping up as a stellar year for Ennismore as the hospitality brand marks a number of significant milestones in the group’s global growth.

When the Mondrian Gold Coast opens in 2025, it will “reignite” the region’s lifestyle hospitality scene, according to the Ennismore-owned hospitality firm.

Ennismore has confirmed the Mondrian Hong Kong is on track for opening in Q4 2023, timed as the city’s revival post-pandemic gains pace. According to the hotel’s website, reservations at the property can be made from 10 December 2023.

Mondrian Singapore Duxton has opened in the Lion City, marking the debut of the brand in southeast Asia.

Ennismore has confirmed the first Mondrian hotel for France will open in March 2023. Mondrian Cannes will debut on the site of the town’s oldest luxury hotel, formerly Grand Hotel Cannes.

Mondrian has marked its return to London this week, with the opening of Mondrian Shoreditch at the site of the former five-star Curtain hotel.

Accor has bought out the remaining 50% stake in sbe from original founder Sam Nazarian. The French hospitality juggernaut acquired half of sbe and its brands (including Mondrian, Delano, SLS and Hyde hotels, as well as restaurants and nightlife brands Cleo, Fili’a or Carna by Dario Cecchini) in 2018.
