“Revolutionary” new 728-passenger ship to launch in summer of 2023
Silversea Cruises has revealed the name of its next new ship as Silver Nova. Developed as part of the ultra-luxury cruise line’s innovative new-build project encompassing twin ships, known until now as “Project Evolution”, Silver Nova commenced construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany quietly last month. Executives from Silversea and Meyer Werft held a traditional steel cutting ceremony on 18 November.

Two additional ultra-luxe and one expedition vessel coming
Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises has gone forward with plans to expand its fleet, inking a Memorandum of Understanding with shipbuilder Meyer Werft to build two ‘Evolution Class’ ships and signing a contract with Shipyard De Hoop to construct a new 100-guest expedition vessel to be called Silver Origin.
