A new addition to the Mekong Kingdoms’ river cruise fleet set sail on Monday with Bohème currently completing its first return journey between Luang Prabang and Vientiane.

Viking is adding a new ship to its fleet in Southeast Asia in 2025, when the new Viking Tonle begins sailing. Designed for the Mekong River, the 80-guest vessel will join its identical sister ship, Viking Saigon, which debuted in 2022. Viking Tonle will sail between Kampong Cham, Cambodia and Mỹ Tho, Vietnam as part of the cruise line’s popular 15-day Magnificent Mekong itinerary.

AmaWaterways will resume sailing on the Mekong River from 17 October 2022. Reservations are now open for sailings through Vietnam and Cambodia to explore the Mekong River aboard the 124-passenger AmaDara, a distinctive 92-metre ship featuring 62 elegantly appointed staterooms and suites.

APT will launch a brand-new ship to its fleet in Indochina for the 2021/22 season operating on the Mekong. The 44-suite Mekong Serenity will debut in August 2021 and operate on select itineraries through Vietnam and Cambodia, including a hosted departure by celebrity chef Luke Nyugen in November next year.

Evergreen Cruises & Tours has released images of Emerald Harmony, its first Star-Ship to cruise the Mekong River. The ship, which welcomed her first guests on board on 31 August 2019, is the line’s first custom-built Star-Ship outside of Europe, and has been specially designed to cruise into Ho Chi Minh City, offering river access into the heart of the city.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has previewed the brand-new S.S. Mekong Jewel , set to debut on 3 January 2020 as the newest and most luxurious ship on the Mekong river.
