New non-stop A330 routes from the WA capital to New Zealand and South Africa
Qantas has confirmed two new routes will join its growing international network, with flights from Perth to Auckland and Johannesburg set to take off from December 2025*.

SAA to move Australian route to five weekly from early January 2025
South African Airways (SAA) is responding to increasing demand by boosting the frequency of its nonstop flights between Perth and Johannesburg. From 8 December 2024, SAA will increase the frequency of its nonstop South Africa-Australia connection to four flights per week, with a further increase to five flights per week beginning 7 January 2025.

Qantas flags routes to Jo’burg and Auckland ex Perth, new Qantas/Jetstar terminals
Qantas and Perth Airport reached an historic commercial agreement today which will unlock a multi-billion-dollar wave of investment and deliver new international and domestic flights, giving a major boost to Australia’s tourism industry. As part of the 12-year agreement, Perth Airport will invest around $3 billion in new terminal facilities and a new parallel runway which will generate immediate and ongoing economic growth and job creation.
