Naoki Kitazawa takes over from Yoko Tanaka in the Sydney-based role
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has welcomed a new Australian-based Executive Director, Naoki Kitazawa. He replaces former Executive Director, Yoko Tanaka, as she moves to a new role as the head of JNTO’s Los Angeles office. Kitazawa joins from JNTO’s Seoul office where he headed up the team in South Korea for two years.

Agents and wholesalers invited to join JNTO to connect with Japanese suppliers
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) will launch a 2021 virtual roadshow, kicking off in November. The roadshow will consist of two specially crafted virtual events, designed to connect agents and wholesalers with local suppliers to better equip them with the tools to sell Japan, once international travel resumes.

The new campaign encourages visitors to discover the attractions that reflect their own passions.
The number of Australians travelling to Japan continues to grow, with over 450,000 visitors in 2017. At an event hosted by the Japan National Tourism Organisation on 14 March at Café Sydney, the industry personnel in attendance were surprised to hear that in January alone, 69,000 Australians visited Japan – a 14% increase on the previous year.
