Mallorca icon Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá has officially reopened its doors following an extensive renovation that marks the start of a new chapter for the historic Palma hotel.

The Australian travel industry’s monarch of luxury hospitality, Lynne Ireland, has been appointed as Global Sales Director – Australia & Oceania for Meliá Hotels International, LATTE can reveal.

Gran Meliá has debuted along Vietnam’s pristine coastline, bringing Mediterranean luxury to the oceanfront destination of Nha Trang. Meliá Hotels International has boosted its presence in Dubai having signed a new Gran Meliá property in Port de La Mer, a new luxury destination located in the Jumeirah One Beach area.

Spanish hotel brand, Meliá Hotels International, is considerably ramping up its high-end footprint, with one in three hotels in its pipeline scheduled to open between 2023 and 2026 to fall under its luxury portfolio.

Meliá Hotels International has revealed plans to bring a touch of Spanish luxury to Indonesia with the opening of Gran Meliá Lombok in 2024. Already one of the hotel group’s most sought-after destinations, the new opening will mark the first Gran Meliá property on the island of Lombok and its second in Indonesia.

Luxury Spanish hotel brand, Gran Meliá Hotels & Resorts, will conduct the second series of its new initiative ‘Lessons in a life well lived’, following the success of its “Noche en Hotel Colón” which launched in May 2019 at Hotel Colón in Seville.
