Andre Viljoen, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fiji Airways, will be stepping down from his role effective 25 October 2025, having accepted the position of CEO at Air Mauritius. Viljoen’s appointment will see him return to the carrier after a decade of leadership in Fiji.

Fiji Airways has commenced a new year-round service between Nadi and Cairns, making Tropical North Queensland more accessible to travellers from the United States. At just over four hours, the new Nadi-Cairns route is the first non-stop service between the destinations.
