Cruise veteran and former CLIA exec, will take over from Craighead in February 2025
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has named Charles “Bud” Darr as its new President and CEO. Darr will succeed Kelly Craighead effective 3 February 2025. Craighead revealed her intention to resign from the organisation in September. Darr returns to CLIA having previously led maritime technical and regulatory affairsat the global cruise association

Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO to head Cruise Lines Int’l Association
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)’s Board of Directors has named Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty as Chairman. Liberty succeeds Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises S.A. who served in the role since January 2021.

CLIA President and CEO to christen Emerald Cruises second luxury yacht
Emerald Cruises has named Kelly Craighead, President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as godmother of Emerald Sakara, the line’s second luxury yacht, due to launch in August. The naming ceremony will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 2 December 2023.
