A new 2025 river cruise from Tauck will visit traditional Christmas markets along the River Seine – its fifth Christmas market-themed river cruise and its first in France.

Citing “popular demand”, Viking has added 17 new Danube and 25 new Rhine River departure dates across five of its festive European river itineraries for 2024. The itineraries, which celebrate storied Christmas traditions along the banks of the Rhine and Danube, showcase some of Europe’s biggest and best Christmas markets amongst vibrant cobblestone cities, medieval castles, and quaint fairytale villages.

European Waterways has launched new Christmas market cruises for 2023 in the Alsace and Lorraine region of France, where the old-world traditions of Europe’s colourful Christmas markets can be found in full swing during the holiday seasons.

The growing popularity of Riviera Travel River Cruises’ Yuletide Market cruises in Europe has prompted the five-star cruise line to offer short-break river cruises from Cologne and Budapest over Christmas and New Year for the first time from this December.
