Silversea has revealed it is developing a hotel in Puerto Williams, Chile – the southernmost city on Earth – expected to open to guests for the 2025/26 Antarctica season.

New deal with Chilean authorities to see two ships deployed from Punta Arenas
Silversea Cruises has confirmed it will deploy three ships – Silver Cloud, Silver Wind and Silver Explorer – to Antarctica for the 2021/22 season. The news comes after the ultra-luxury cruise line struck a deal with Chilean authorities to operate from Punta Arenas for its upcoming season. Silver Cloud and Silver Wind will cruise from Punta Arenas, while Silver Explorer will operate, as scheduled, from Puerto Williams from November 2021.

Inaugural Expedition World Cruise pushed back 12 months
Silversea Cruises has delayed its inaugural Expedition World Cruise by 12 months as part of revised operating schedule confirmed this week. A revised collection of 157 new expedition voyages, operating from January 2021 through to July 2022, have been released.
