British Airways has unveiled its brand-new First seat, combining elegant design with expert British craftsmanship, reflective of modern British luxury travel. The new cabin forms part of the airline’s A380 retrofit plans, expected to take to the skies in mid-2026.

Etihad Airways has confirmed plans to begin flying its Airbus A380 double-decker to Paris Charles de Gaulle, effective 1 November 2024. The French capital becomes the third major city to enjoy the Etihad A380 experience after London and New York.

Emirates has confirmed plans to restore its non-stop A380 services to and from Auckland and Kuala Lumpur, starting from 1 December.

Qantas has reintroduced its First Class offering to its customers travelling to and from Singapore with the return of its superjumbo A380 aircraft and re-opening of its First Lounge at Changi Airport.

Emirates will add a second daily flight on its Dubai-Melbourne route, served by its flagship A380 aircraft, effective 1 May 2022. The expansion of services is supported by the Victorian Government to help fast-track the return of international flights to Melbourne and bring more visitors to the state.

Qantas will reinstate its full First Class offering at the end of March 2022 both on the ground and in the air as post-pandemic international travel steadily recovers and the national carrier wakes up more of its A380 superjumbo fleet.

Emirates will restart a second daily flight on the Sydney-Dubai route, served by A380 aircraft, starting 1 March. The frequency upgrade comes as Australia prepares to reopen its international borders to overseas travellers on 21 February.

Singapore Airlines is set to deploy its flagship Airbus A380 on the Sydney route from 1 December, ramping up capacity ahead of the Christmas holiday period.

Emirates will deploy A380s on its daily Amsterdam service and add a second daily superjumbo service to London Heathrow starting from 1 August.

Lufthansa Group’s Supervisory Board has approved the purchase of a total of 40 state-of-the-art aircraft for the group’s airlines. The 20 Boeing 787-9 and 20 additional Airbus A350-900 planes will primarily be replacing four-engine aircraft. The new planes will be delivered between late 2022 and 2027.
