Passengers flying with Air Tahiti Nui in Economy or Premium Economy now have the chance to bid for an upgrade in class following the launch of an online auction system.

Air Tahiti Nui celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first 787-9 Dreamliner, via lease from ALC, last weekend. This is the first Boeing airplane to join the Tahitian airline, which plans to use the longest-range Dreamliner to replace its ageing Airbus A340s and connect its home base in the South Pacific with world capitals such as Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles.

Air Tahiti Nui has previewed the first of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft at the North Charleston, South Carolina, USA, paint workshop, registered with the letters MUA, meaning “moving forward” in Tahitian.

Air Tahiti Nui has added a fleet of four helicopters to its air operations in Tahiti to fill a void for private transfers, high end experiences and scenic flights.

One year from now, Club Med will be unveiling its first resort in South Africa: Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari. Located on the Dolphin Coast, north of Durban, in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, the all-inclusive resort will combine a beach getaway with an immersive safari.
