Travelplan Ski, CMH Heli-skiing and Porsche Centre Willoughby came together on Tuesday 14 July to take flight into the Canadian mountains, carrying LATTE along for the ride. Past, present and future heli-skiers and -snowboarders gathered in the immaculate showroom, surrounded by Porsche’s finest cars, to enjoy canapés, drinks and stories from Roko Koell, the legendary CMH ambassador and guide. For 50 years, CMH has offered comprehensive and spectacular wilderness experiences to skiers and snowboarders, showcasing the best of Canada from its 11 lodges.
Among the presentations, Roko and Toby Withers, Travelplan Ski Manager, Sydney, were quick to dispel the extreme myths of heli-skiing, namely that this thrilling experience is only for advanced skiers. CMH even offers a Powder 101 programme for first-time heli-adventurers, and has lodges in a range of locations in British Columbia to cater for all looking to explore some of the finest powder terrain in the world. Each lodge is designed to offer boundless fun, with bar-lounge areas, dining rooms (with exceptional cuisine), exercise rooms and saunas among the facilities on offer.
Porsche was not to be outdone in snow extremes, also showcasing its high-performance Winter Experience programmes in Levi, Finland, designed to push its cars to the limit, and encouraging guests to browse the outstanding creations on display.
