Expedia has launched its new loyalty programme, Expedia+, which allows travellers to earn points when booking flights, hotels, packages, hire cars and more on Expedia.com.au. Members are also be able to ‘triple dip’, and earn points on other programmes such as their frequent flyers and credit card, as well as Expedia+, all in one transaction.

Commenting on the launch of the new loyalty program, Expedia Australia and New Zealand Marketing Director Lee-Ann Googan, says: “We’re excited to launch Expedia+ and offer our customers a new way to earn and redeem rewards that will bring them closer to their next holiday. We’re encouraging customers to start earning points right away by booking through our mobile app, where they can earn triple points on their bookings.”

With a three-tiered earning structure (+blue, +silver and +gold), Expedia+ members have access to various +VIP Access benefits that include bonus points, priority customer care and exclusive hotel amenities.

Free membership automatically gives members +blue status, including access to exclusive perks such as the Hotel Price Guarantee, members-only pricing and limited travel deals.

Not tied to a single hotel group or airline, Expedia+ members will be able to earn points when booking on any of the 400 airlines or 510,000 hotels worldwide, along with activities, select holiday packages and car rentals offered by Expedia.com.au.

The programme also features a ‘no blackouts’ policy when redeeming rewards, as well as unlimited flexibility, meaning travellers can also earn points when booking for family, friends and colleagues.
