Vietti wine menu at InterContinental Hong Kong

The resort will blend beach vacation and safari experiences

The one-Michelin star SPOON by Alain Ducasse at InterContinental Hong Kong will present a Wine Dinner on Friday 30 October with the Vietti Winery from Piedmont, Italy.

The 6-course menu by SPOON Executive Chef Stephane Gortina is specially paired with 6 Vietti wines and is priced at HK$2228 net per person, inclusive of a welcome reception at which Roero – Areis (Arneis) 2013 will be served.

The Vietti wines showcased during the dinner include:

  • Barbera d’Alba- Tre Vigne 2012
  • Barolo- Catistglione 2010
  • Barbaresco – Masseria 2010
  • Barolo – Rocche 2009
  • Moscato d’Asti 2012

Mr Francesco Cordero – the grandson of Alfredo Currado and a member of the 5th generation of the Vietti family running and operating the boutique winery – will be at SPOON by Alain Ducasse on 30 October to introduce some of the carefully handcrafted and highly acclaimed wines that are the result of a unique combination of sun, soil and wine-making art.

The 6-course menu includes: Light Chestnut & Fennel Velouté, Rabbit & Cabbage Pie, Wild Turbot with Cep Mushrooms & Artichokes, followed by Half-wild Duckling with Pumpkin & Grape-dried Fruit. This will be followed by Frosty Lemon, and for dessert, Chocolate from the Manufacture in Paris, crunchy praline.
