Michelin-starred chef, Pierre Gagnaire, has been appointed to lead La Maison 1888, the number one gourmet destination in Vietnam.
La Maison 1888 is located on the grounds of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort. The restaurant focuses on French dining and was the first in Vietnam to feature a Michelin-starred chef.
Chef Gagnaire said: “The InterContinental and I share a vision. It is not just mine. I bring my style of cooking but together we create the experience. The menu is a link between my philosophy, my style of cooking and this country. The culinary culture here in Vietnam is precise and elegant.”
La Maison 1888 has been featured in Architectural Digest’s Top Ten list of most beautifully designed new restaurants. Guests can relax in the Buffalo Bar for a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of vintage champagne, before being escorted to their dining table. Afterwards, guests can select a post-dinner drink from the extensive menu of aged whiskies and infused vodkas on the terrace, with views over the resort and the East Sea. The exclusive wine cellar offers one of the best collections in the region, including rare vintages.
