For the first time since becoming Australia’s first glamping resort in 1999, Paperbark Camp at Jervis bay on the NSW South Coast will open for winter this year and to mark the move, the cost of dinner, bed and breakfast packages between mid-June and early September has been halved.

Strong demand has prompted Paperbark Camp to stay open this winter for the first time, with luxe campers able to snuggle up in deluxe and cosy riverside tents from 13 June to 17 July and 12 August to 4 September 2016. The renowned and award-winning bush hideaway will be open Thursday to Sunday nights during this time, with Paperbark closed for annual maintenance between 18 July and 11 August.

To celebrate Paperbark’s first winter season, a 50 per cent discount is available on the all-inclusive ‘Taste of Jervis’ package. The discounted package offers guests safari tent accommodation, a fine dining dinner, gourmet breakfast and use of canoes, paddleboards and bikes from only $262.50 per couple per night, for a minimum two-night stay ($525 per couple for the two nights), which means one-night is effectively free. This is half the normal tariff and is available from Thursday to Sunday during the special winter period. The half-price offer is available until sold out.

The new winter dates are ideal for whale-watching from nearby Jervis Bay, group getaways and school holiday glamping. Winter is also perfect for couples keen to cuddle up around Paperbark’s roaring log and camp fires and enjoy stargazing, hot chocolate drinks, gourmet coffee, hot water bottles, pure-wool doonas, luxury cotton linen and free-standing bath tubs and hot showers overlooking the bush, which is home to kangaroos, possums and colourful birdlife.

Nestled in bushland 2.5 hours south of Sydney and offering a blend of sophistication and simplicity, Paperbark Camp is a luxury, eco retreat with elevated safari tents boasting polished hardwood flooring, double canvas roofs, outdoor deck seating and private outdoor/indoor en suites with premium toiletries where guests can enjoy nature while they bathe or shower. The raised tents are camouflaged amongst spotted gums and paperbark trees along the banks of Currambene Creek, a five-minute drive from the pristine waters and white beaches of Jervis Bay.
