European Waterways, Europe’s leading hotel barge cruising company, has announced that three of their family-themed charter cruises around the different regions of France – L’Art de Vivre, Anjodi and Panache – are now bookable by cabins. The departures are guaranteed when a minimum of three passengers book up to two cabins.

The family-friendly itineraries, scheduled this European summer, also offers AU$380 off for guests under 18, providing an excellent opportunity for small families.

The eight-passenger L’Art de Vivre’s family-themed cruise departs 7 August. Cruising through the scenic Burgundy countryside, the vessel’s itinerary includes a visit to Cardo Land Prehistoric Park, canoe trips and a tour of the Caves d’Arcy sur Cure, a major site for Palaeolithic cave paintings.

The 14 August departure of the eight-passenger Anjodi, based on the Canal du Midi, includes a visit to Aqualand Cap D’Agde, a popular family water park. The itinerary also includes a tour of the Oppidum d’Ensérune Roman settlement and the prehistoric Grotte de Limousis prehistoric caves.

The 21 August departure on the 12-passenger Panache, which cruises the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, includes a visit to the Centre Aquatique Sarrebourg water park as well as the Alpine Luge at Lutzelbourg – a nearly 500-metre high-speed rail ride down a mountainside. There is also a visit to the Sainte-Croix Animal Park and the Chocolate Museum in Strasbourg.

Prices for these six-night family-themed cruises start at AU$5320 per person, based on double occupancy, and are all-inclusive, including admission to all the family attractions on the itineraries.
