Once again, the experts at World Travel Awards have named Iconic Santorini as ‘Greece’s Leading Boutique Hotel’.

These much-travelled hospitality experts – hoteliers, travel agents, and sophisticated leisure travellers – have honoured Iconic Santorini with this coveted award, based on their just-completed 2016 survey of luxury hotels and spas on six continents.

“It’s particularly gratifying that the award comes from our industry peers,” notes GM Vella Ramasawmy. “The fact that Iconic Santorini has received this award for the third year in a row is extremely gratifying… proof that we continue to reward discerning travellers, honeymooners and those seeking a romantic escape with an exceptional experience in a fascinating destination.”

Iconic Santorini is a luxury boutique hideaway carved into the island’s volcanic cliffs, perched above the bay of the caldera. The 19 air-conditioned suites are recreated from traditional cliffside homes and reflect the island’s white-vaulted style and colourful fabrics, skilfully refashioned for today’s travellers with amenities like flat-screen televisions, JBL sound systems and all-natural, four-layer COCO-MAT bedding.

When clients expressed an interest in more luxurious suites the hotel went one better and created two super-suites: The Cliff Suite and The Cave Suite. The private Cliff Suite has one level of the hotel all to itself and has been improved with a wraparound balcony providing stunning views and the addition of an outdoor jetted pool to complement the indoor grotto pool. The Cave Suite sports his and her bathrooms, a love bed sofa, and a large walkabout balcony with a jetted plunge pool with bubbles and amazing views.

All guests at the hotel have access to a fitness and massage facility with its own grotto pool, a swimming pool with a jetted seating area and a traditional Greek taverna with sky-box views of the caldera and Greek cuisine of the highest level.

Daily double rates at ‘Greece’s Leading Boutique Hotel’ begin at €690, approximately $770, including breakfast, mineral water, roundtrip airport transfers and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

Special Romance Packages include sightseeing, dinners and other valued-added extras.
