Corinthia Hotels is expanding its global footprint in the Middle East, signing a management agreement to operate a luxury at Gewan Island in Qatar. Corinthia currently owns, operates or is developing a portfolio of luxury hotels in major destinations including London, Lisbon, Prague, Budapest, Malta, Tripoli, Khartoum and St Petersburg, with future properties to debut in Rome, Brussels, Moscow, Dubai and Bucharest.

Corinthia Doha is poised to be a prominent structure in Gewan Island, overlooking the island’s planned golf course and beach club.

Corinthia Doha will be established on an area of 13,000 square metres and will comprise 110 guestrooms, a banquet hall and outdoor patio with a 1,000 people capacity, all-day dining and speciality restaurants and a luxurious spa facility. The development will also include luxury branded villas, a golf course and a beach club, all to be managed by the Corinthia Hotel.

Gewan Island is situated next to The Pearl-Qatar, spanning 400,000 square metres. Once completed, the island will accommodate 3,500 residents and a similar number of daily visitors.
