Swiss hotel management company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will debut in Poland after parent company Accor inked a deal with the Marvipol Development Group for the construction of a new five-star hotel.

To be located on the seafront of the Polish spa city of Kołobrzeg, the 266-room Mövenpick Kołobrzeg will offer guests direct access to the beach. The property will feature a restaurant, bar, spa centre and sauna.

“The signing of the first franchise agreement in Poland for the Mövenpick hotel is another step towards expanding Accor’s portfolio in the premium brand segment on our market,” said Jacek Stasikowski, Development Director at Accor. “We are planning more locations for this five-star brand, both in popular resorts and in the most important Polish cities. We believe that Mövenpick will quickly gain recognition on the Polish hotel market.”

Grzegorz Kawecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Marvipol Development SA, said: “In conjunction with the perfect location of the facility, high-quality gastronomic services, SPA offer and environmentally friendly solutions, we want to offer our customers a completely new quality in the premium segment.

“The presence of the five-star facility in Kołobrzeg will complete the hotel offer in the most important holiday resorts by the Polish seaside and will mark the presence of Marvipol in this region,” Kawecki added.

Mövenpick Kołobrzeg is slated to open in 2022.
