Viking has released its newest itinerary, India and Europe Grand Passage, journeying between Mumbai and Barcelona and vice versa. Sailings of the new itinerary are limited, with only two departures scheduled in December 2024 and January 2025.
Due to popular demand for extended journeys, the India and Europe Grand Passage voyage combines three of Viking’s shorter, most sought-after itineraries: Iconic Western Mediterranean, Journey to Antiquities and Passage to India. The 35-day journey of discovery explores 12 countries and includes 20 onshore excursions.
Guests will be able to explore a wide range of cultural experiences, including Mumbai street food, the ancient civilisations and desert landscapes of the Middle East, Italy’s Renaissance treasures, and the antiquities and architecture of Barcelona, Rome, and Luxor, whilst traversing the Mediterranean and Arabian Seas.
“Our extended voyages are proving popular and are in high demand, and the response to our three new Grand Voyage itineraries last week was positive. Australian travellers desire to travel longer but in comfort, and Viking can provide this,” said Michelle Black, Viking ANZ Managing Director.
“Combining these itineraries back-to-back to create the India and Europe Grand Passage provides our guests with a seamless booking and travel experience in a single journey from Mumbai to Barcelona at excellent value. Plus, it takes in the ever-popular destination of Egypt, which currently is at the top of many a travellers’ wish list.”
Viking’s The Heart of Exploring sale offers savings of up to $1,600 per couple and flight credit of $2,500 on 2024 and 2025 sailings for bookings made before 30 November 2023 or unless sold out prior. Priced start from $24,295 pp in a Veranda Stateroom.
