Twenty years of PEPR celebrated

Luxury travel, cruise, destination communications agency parties with partners

This month marks the 20th anniversary of Australia’s leading public relations agency, PEPR, which specialises in luxury, cruise, destination, and lifestyle communications.

Renowned travel specialist Philip Engelberts and his team marked the milestone with a celebratory cocktail party attended by agency partners and stakeholders.

PEPR Agency’s founder and director Philip Engelberts said he was honoured to gather with friends and peers to commemorate the birthday.

“We have been so blessed to represent such an amazing client roster,” said Engelberts. “With so many friends in the industry, work feels more like a hobby than anything else. We cannot wait to toast to PEPR’s next decade.”

PEPR, which stands for Philip Engelberts Public Relations, is a play on the word ‘pepper.’ Engelberts, who was born in the Netherlands, was based in Sydney as public relations manager for the South Australian Tourism Commission from 1998 until 2003, when he founded PEPR.

The agency partners with an enviable suite of travel, food and hospitality brands including luxury cruise lines Cunard, Aqua Expeditions and Explora Journeys, Tourism Fiji, Destination Queenstown, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, Hilton, COMO Hotels and Resorts, Flight Centre, Travel Associates, YHA, the G’Day Group, Outrigger, Virgin Australia, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
