NYNE Hotels currently comprises six boutique resorts, with several more slated to debut in the next 12 months. The portfolio is comprised of the following properties:

Lake Lodge, Colombo

A contemporary retreat in the city. Secluded from the bustling streets of Colombo, Lake Lodge boasts a heritage dating back to 1967, when it was registered as the country’s first “Guest House”. Discover a contemporary sanctuary nestled amidst verdant palm trees and blooming bougainvillea.

Lake Lodge offers a welcome respite from the city, featuring ten thoughtfully designed rooms. Dine at Table by Nyne and savour a unique twist on Sri Lankan and international cuisine, enjoyed by a loyal following of local and cosmopolitan patrons. The hotel also houses a discreet gallery showcasing over 50 works of art by renowned artists such as Priyantha Udagedara and Kingsley Gunatillake.

Rock Villa, Bentota

A tropical bungalow by the sea. Surrounded by three acres of frangipani and scoconut trees, Rock Villa encompasses a serene sanctuary featuring a 180-year-old Walauwwa, a term used for ancestral heritage homes.

Filled with Sri Lankan collectibles and a palette of white, beige, and pops of turquoise, Rock Villa offers laid-back tropical indulgence. Relax on the unspoiled beach beyond the single-track railway line, take a dip in one of the azure-blue pools, explore the cooling mangroves, indulge in spa bliss, or retreat into one of the nine well-appointed rooms.

The Muse, Bentota

Tranquil and captivating, with artistic flair. The Muse embodies generous Sri Lankan hospitality and absolute contentment. With nine rooms and breezy open-plan living spaces, it promises picture-perfect corners for an unforgettable family staycation or a serene retreat for couples.

In this unique escape, step over the single-gauge railway track and stroll across powder-soft sands, find tranquility among the mangroves, take a dip in the aquamarine pool, or indulge in tantalising cuisine. The artwork resonating within and in the frangipani-scented garden features creations by esteemed artists, including Pala Porhupitiya.

Leela Walauwwa, Induruwa

A heritage haven of serenity. Narrow winding roads lead visitors through dense foliage to this rural manor house, dating back two centuries. Antique four-poster beds in four rooms and intricately carved furniture hint at its splendid past, now immaculately restored for modern comfort.

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool, explore the nearby beach, or dine under the stars, with delightful gastronomy and tailored service. Take the opportunity to join an art class led by the Villa Guardian, a well-known artist, and unleash your creativity amidst the numerous works of art and sculptures surrounding you.

Mayur Lodge, Yala

A hidden gem within nature. Tucked away in the rural hinterlands on the outskirts of Yala National Park, Mayur Lodge is a four-acre retreat surrounded by nature. Frequent sightings of abundant birdlife and foraging peacocks—after which the lodge is aptly named, as “Mayur” means peacock in Sanskrit—await guests.

Relax in two spacious villas, each with its own private pool, stylishly accented with heritage touches. Ideal for families or couples, the property’s naturalist will gladly share the secrets of the surrounding flora and fauna, guiding you to a centuries-old tamarind tree where you can request a barbecue dinner at sundown, surrounded by fireflies.

Landesi, Galle

A stately retreat steeped in history. “Landesi” means “of Dutch origin” in Sinhala, fitting for this manor house located near a fort fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Designed and built by renowned architect Ashley de Vos, a conservationist of the Galle Fort, this stately house retains classic features of the period. Reclaimed wood, intricately crafted trelliswork, doors, and 18-foot pillars from an old colonial home transport you back to the spirit of the Dutch era of Ceylon.

Four plush bedrooms overlook colonnaded gardens with views of the Groote Kerk, now known as the Dutch Reformed Church, while inside, art by famous local artists, including Laki Senanayake, adorns the walls.
