The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, has tapped Benjamin Vuchot as the successor to Clement King Man Kwok as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, commencing in the role from 3 March 2025.
Vuchot will also be appointed as a member of the Executive Committee, Finance Committee and the Group Management Board and a Director of some of the group’s entities following his appointment.

Kwok steps down as MD and CEO with effect from 31 October 2024. As part of the transition, he will remain on the Board as an Executive Director and advisor to the CEO until the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of 2025. Christobelle Yi Ching Liao, Executive Director and Chief Corporate and Governance Officer, will be appointed as the Interim CEO and a member of the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee of the Company, with effect from 1 November 2024 until 2 March 2025.
Vuchot has over 30 years’ experience in the luxury retail business with two global leading groups, Richemont and LVMH. He brings extensive experience in driving business growth and expansion through innovative strategies and initiatives. His past roles include tenures at Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier, as with DFS Group and Sephora.
