Hammond himself will share behind-the-scenes intel from the filming of the cult classic, and also discuss what life is like in Salzburg today.

“I am truly excited to come to Australia representing my home state of Salzburg to announce what we have in store for the 60th anniversary of ‘The Sound of Music,” Gruchmann-Licht, Senior Representative International Markets for Salzburg State Board of Tourism told LATTE.

“I thought I left tourism at the end of 2022 when I moved back to Austria … but life had different plans for me. I look forward to meeting many familiar faces while in Sydney and Melbourne,” Gruchmann-Licht said.

The Sound of Music events will be held on 26 November in Sydney and 28 November in Melbourne. Invitations and RSVP details will be hitting inboxes this week.
