Sea Cloud Spirit, the newest and largest ship operated by Sea Cloud Cruises, will homeport in Venice for the first time in European summer 2025 with the cruise line among just a handful still able to visit the lagoon city.
Only cruise ships under 25,000 gross tonmes are permitted to enter the Venice lagoon according to rules put in place in 2021, and so 136-passenger Spirit, at just 4,228 gross tons, fits the bill.
Four nine-day ‘Enchanting Croatian Coast’ itineraries will feature six Croatian ports, two days of full sail in the Adriatic and an overnight stay in Venice’s Grand Canal. The voyages will set sail on 24 July, 2 August, 11 August and 20 August 2025.
The 2 August sailing will feature a special performance by cabaret artist Travis Moser – his Sea Cloud Spirit debut.
“Sailing was a passion of Marjorie Merriweather Post, creator of the original Sea Cloud, and these special Venice roundtrip sailings have been meticulously designed to pay homage to her love for travelling in this region under full sail,” Sea Cloud Cruises North America President Mirell Reyes said.
“Post was also passionate about music, and we are thrilled to have Travis Moser join us on our first of hopefully many special Cabaret Cultivated Journeys performing in such beautiful space with our Steinway & Sons grand piano.”
