Accor has confirmed its eighth Sofitel Legend property will open in Egypt’s Giza, near the pyramids and newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, in late 2027.
Sofitel Legend Pyramids Gaza represents the third Sofitel Legend signing this year, after the brand was reignited in 2023.
“We are seeing strong momentum for the brand across all continents, with many more projects to come,” Chief Development Officer Xavier Grange said. “Our vision is to expand the Sofitel Legend network from six remarkable hotels open today to a collection of 15 iconic jewels within the next five years, and we are on track to achieve this ambitious objective.”
Developed in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC), the newly announced 303-key property will be Accor’s second Sofitel Legend in Egypt, joining Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan which opened in 2011.
Sofitel CEO Maud Bailly described the new hotel as an “exceptional project” where luxury and history would converge.

Meanwhile, ADTIC CEO Yahia Kotub promised the new hotel would offer guests a “transformative experience”.
“Our commitment to excellence will noy only elevate the standards of hospitality but also celebrate the timeless beauty and heritage of this extraordinary destination.”
In addition to luxurious accommodation, the hotel will feature a high-end spa and fitness centre with infinity pools, while its restaurants will include an all-day dining venue and three specialty dining options overlooking the pyramids.
