A new Belmond rail journey announced this week will connect Paris with its Tuscany farm estate from May 2025 aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient Express.
The three-night journey will depart the French capital on 11 May, arriving at the city of Arezzo on 12 May. From there, guests will be transferred to historic Siena where they explore the UNESCO-listed medieval centre before heading to the 1,300-hectare Castello di Casole in Tuscany where they will spend two nights.
“This continues the train’s legacy as a trailblazer of slow luxury travel to iconic destinations including Amsterdam, Cannes and Istanbul, and further strengthens its prestigious presence in Italy,” Belmond said.
Alongside this inaugural Tuscany journey, the train will return to its Portofino route which culminates at the iconic Splendido Hotel. First launched in 2024, the route will make its return next June.

For the 2025 season, the hotel will reveal an entirely new main building, with a focus on new rooms and communal areas, including a new signature bar, breakfast area, retail space and Dior Spa.
