LATTE joined the fun this week as Tourism Western Australia hosted a group of travel advisors on an epic exploration of Margaret River and Perth in the build up to the Virtuoso ANZ Forum 2025.
The group stayed at beautiful Smiths Beach Resort – vast suites set right beside pristine Smiths Beach, with a recently renovated pool area and an onsite restaurant overseen by one of Western Australia’s most successful chefs Kate Lamont.
With the expert guidance of Mcleod Tours, the advisors discovered the region’s stunning beaches and incredible natural sights like the Ngilgi Caves – a place rich in significance for the Wadandi people.
There were plenty of epicurean delights on offer too – wine tastings at Voyager Estate, Leeuwin Estate and Vasse Felix as well as fantastic meals at Cape Lodge, Lamont’s Smiths Beach, White Elephant Beach Café and Lagoon Yallingup.

A private jet journey operated by Jandakot-based Corsaire Aviation carried the group back to Perth where their adventure continued.
Based at Crown Towers with its sweeping river views, the group set off for high tea at the Ritz-Carlton Perth, before learning all about pearls at Willie Creek Pearls where they even tasted pearl meat – and were pleasantly surprised. Then, it was off to Rockpool Bar & Grill inside the neighbouring Crown Metropole for a decadent steak dinner.
The indulgence continued the next day with members of the group heading to the Swan Valley to blend their own wine, while others headed to Rottnest Island to haul lobster pots and meet the resident quokkas, or to Como the Treasury for a wine masterclass.
