Luxury travel network Virtuoso has seen a 20% rise in the number of advisors awarded Cruise Icon status as the program approaches its second year of operation in Australia and New Zealand.
“We’ve gone from 29 icons in the region up to 35,” Virtuoso General Manager Australia and New Zealand Greg Treasure told the Virtuoso ANZ Forum 2025 at the Ritz-Carlton in Perth yesterday. “Congratulations to all of you in the room who are Cruise Icons. It’s a fantastic effort, and may that growth continue to skyrocket.”
The Virtuoso Cruise Icon program was launched in 2018 to recognise those Virtuoso advisors’ whose sales performance excels within the industry. To be considered part of this elite group, advisors need to sell more than $1 million worth of Virtuoso preferred cruise partner products annually. The program was expanded beyond the US to new regions in 2024, officially launching in Australia and New Zealand last May.
“Cruise in Australia has exploded both in terms of the amount of luxury product and the rise of expedition cruises and that will continue to grow,” Treasure told LATTE.
The network’s cruise production rose 29.7% in 2024 on 2023 figures.
