Orient Express has released a preview of the inaugural season for its first 54-luxury suite sailing yacht, Orient Express Corinthian. What will be the world’s largest sailing yacht, will take to the open sea from 6 June 2026, operating a series of cruises through the French and Italian Rivieras, the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas.

Orient Express Corinthian‘s debut season will launch reservations on 25 March 2025, but future guests can explore orient-express.com/sailingyachts, a portal to the first departures.

The website offers a snapshot of the itineraries, dates and durations, which commence from Marseille with a six-night voyage to Cannes and St. Tropez, spending three nights in each location. The journey can be broken down into two and four night itineraries.

On 12 June 2026, the 7-night Corsica & Liguria sailing will encompass Propriano, Calvi, Saint Florent, Lerice and conclude in Monte-Carlo.

Voyages continue to operate at the three-, four-, seven-, and eight-night durations throughout the debut season, up until the last voyage in the first instalment, an itinerary from Marseille to Lisbon on 5 October 2026.

The portal also reveals details on the 14 suite types available onboard, which range from the 47 square metre Suite Panoramique (no balcony) to the 225 square-metre Agatha Christie, two-bedroom suite, which features a 180 sqm balcony. Suite types include the curiously named Zephyr, Meltem, Libeccio, Scirocco, Suite Duplex, Appartement Prestige, Mistral, Appartement Superieur, Suite Terrasse Prestige, and others.

The restaurant and bar options are also revealed, including La Table De L’Orient Express by Yannick Alléno and La Terrasse, and a bizarre 54-foot swimming pool, dubbed Le Couloir De Nage, which offers “views of the sailboat’s mast”.

Orient Express Corinthian will also feature entertainment options onboard including a cinema, cabaret show, a library, a games room and marina for water sports.

Orient Express Corinthian is the product of a visionary collaboration between Orient Express and Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Designed with both grandeur and purpose, the vessel represents a seamless convergence of ultimate refinement and cutting-edge innovation, two hallmarks of French excellence.

At 220 metres (722 feet) in length, with three towering masts supporting 1,500 square metres (16,145 square feet) of rigid sails, she is a pioneer. Orient Express Corinthian is the first sailing yacht equipped with the revolutionary ‘SolidSail’ propulsion system. Its three tilting, rotating masts optimise performance under sail, harnessing the wind with exceptional efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional fuels. This advanced system is further supported by a hybrid propulsion solution powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which offers a substantial reduction in emissions compared to traditional marine fuels, marking a meaningful step toward more sustainable navigation.

The commitment to sustainability runs deep. An AI-driven detection system minimises the risk of marine mammal collisions, while dynamic positioning technology eliminates the need for anchoring, preserving delicate seabeds.
