A thrilling adventure through Colorado’s top destinations wrapped up last week, as the Sno’n’Ski Holidays mega famil showcased the state’s diverse offerings to 30 Australian and New Zealand travel agents.

Hosted by the Colorado Tourism Office, in collaboration with Linkd Tourism, the event ran from 22 February to 3 March. These agents earned their spot through an incentive program between Colorado Tourism and Sno’n’Ski last year.

The nine-night famil included a variety of activities, such as whisky tasting in Vail, a scavenger hunt in Steamboat Springs, and snowmobiling in Telluride. Other highlights were a Denver city walking tour, après ski, and a pub crawl in Aspen Snowmass. Agents also participated in ski and snowboard lessons, enjoying perfect conditions across Colorado’s renowned ski resorts.

Emily Porter, National Sales Manager for Sno’n’Ski Holidays, emphasised the value of such an immersive experience. “We learnt that Colorado’s people, each mountain’s unique personality, and 300 days of sunshine create an energy like no other destination. The whole trip was nothing short of extraordinary,” she said.

Meanwhile, Liz Birdsall from Colorado Tourism Office, who co-hosted the famil with Linkd Tourism’s Jack Curtis, highlighted the new addition of Denver as a gateway destination. “With Denver being a mile above sea level, it’s the ideal stop for visitors before heading to the higher altitude in the mountains,” she explained.

The itinerary was designed to showcase Colorado’s top resorts, including Steamboat’s ranching community, Vail’s WWII history, Aspen Snowmass’s cultural experiences, and Telluride’s western charm. Birdsall added, “We were absolutely thrilled and honoured to have Sno’n’Ski select Colorado as its Mega Fam destination.”
