Scott Mitchell, Director of Australian Sustainable Destinations Alliance, highlighted the significance of the Green Key accreditation, calling it “a testament to Pro-invest and IHG’s commitment to environmental stewardship.”

Green Key, operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education, is a globally recognized eco-label awarded to hotels that demonstrate a commitment to reducing their environmental footprint and advancing social impact. The certification is based on criteria such as energy conservation, water management, waste reduction, sustainable sourcing, and environmental education for both guests and staff.

Pro-invest Group’s decision to pursue Green Key certification stems from its alignment with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Standards and the eco-label’s global recognition. With over 6,000 certified establishments in 70 countries, Green Key was chosen for its tailored approach to the hospitality industry. Pro-invest is the first to certify such a large portfolio of hotels in Australia, embodying its “One Earth, Countless Experiences” ethos.
