Oceania Cruises has revealed details of Riviera’s first visit to Australia and New Zealand during its inaugural season in the region that begins at the end of this year.

From November 2025 to March 2026, the 1,250-guest vessel will sail a diverse selection of itineraries, offering guests a unique experience focused on culinary exploration.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Riviera to Australia and New Zealand for the first time,” Oceania Cruises Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague said.

“This new chapter reflects our commitment to offering exceptional, immersive experiences that celebrate the region’s diverse cultures and breathtaking landscapes.”

The voyages will not only explore iconic ports like Sydney but also lesser known regional destinations such as Mystery Island in Vanuatu and Dunedin in New Zealand.

Riviera will provide gourmet-focused shore excursions like visits to local markets, truffle farms, and rice fields, where travelers can immerse themselves in the renowned culinary offerings of Australia and New Zealand.

The culinary experience will continue aboard Riviera with guests able to participate in the “Down Under Abundance” class at The Culinary Centre, where they will taste regional ingredients from Australia and New Zealand’s seas, mountains, and vineyards. Dining options include the French-inspired Jacques and the elegant Polo Grill.

Beyond gourmet experiences, the ship also features the Artist Loft for creative expression, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center.
