Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has converted its German-speaking only semi-circumnavigation cruise of Antarctica in 2027 to a dual-language departure.

Sailing from Ushuaia on 1 February 2027 aboard HANSEATIC spirit, the 31-day expedition will visit the Shetland Islands, Antarctic Peninsula, Ross Island, The Ross Ice Shelf, Terra Nova Bay and the Subantarctic Islands before arriving in Lyttelton (Christchurch) on 5 March 2027.

The itinerary includes a charter flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises says the decision to switch the voyage from being German-only to bilingual follows “great interest from the international market”.

The itinerary is priced from USD$31,559 per person twin share (Platinum fare). There are limited single cabins also available. The Single Supplement is 25% of the cruise fare for Antarctic voyages.
