The $12 million renovation of Nanuku Resort Fiji is now complete, with the redesign coinciding with the property’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
As part of the transformation, the resort’s accommodations and public spaces have been redesigned while retaining the resort’s authentic Fijian feel. The 37 suites, residences and villas have been updated with a colour palette of island tones and authentic Fijian carved wood pieces.
The resort’s public spaces, including the clubhouse, bar, lounge, and pool area, have also been renovated. The Kanavata Lounge features bar seats under an organic seashell fixture while the poolside Nuku Bar now includes a beachside setting for toes-in-the-sand dining and live music. Kanavata Restaurant now features textured raffia lighting with sculptural wooden tables and woven seating, as well as an infinity pool with ocean views in every direction.
Nanuku Resort has also added an adults-only dining area, the “Dancing Vonu” (Dancing Turtle), while expanding recreational options with new activities like pool and ping pong.

“Our vision was to create spaces that would feel both timeless and fresh,” said Parisa O’Connell, Principal Designer at Parisa O’Connell Studio. “Now that the project is complete, we’re delighted to see how the balanced design maintains the authentic Fijian essence that makes Nanuku special, while introducing stylish elements that enhance comfort and luxury. The finished spaces truly capture the natural tropical beauty of Fiji with our minimalist palette enriched by intricate Fijian cultural influences.”
The completed redesign “perfectly balances” modern luxury with the resort’s Fijian heritage, according to General Manager Tomasi Turukawa. “The renovation, completed just in time for our milestone 10th anniversary, reflects our ongoing commitment to elevating the guest experience while maintaining the warm Fijian hospitality that has always been at the heart of Nanuku,” he said. “Our guests can now enjoy family-friendly spaces and dedicated adults-only areas, ensuring everyone finds their perfect island sanctuary with us.”
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Nanuku Resort Fiji plans to announce additional special events and offerings later in the year.
