Etihad is rolling its first class offering out across more routes from August, with new services to include a private chauffeur to and from the airport.

The roll-out will also include a new Etihad Concierge service which will be available around the clock, as well as a personal escort to the Etihad First Lounge through a dedicated Check-In, and then then for boarding. There will also be a complimentary Home Check-In and Land & Leave services in Abu Dhabi, offering a baggage-free airport experience.

These changes come as Etihad unveiled its new Airbus A321LR aircraft, set to launch of 1 August 2025, with a new first class suite and business cabin among its features.

The aircraft’s debut represents a “major step” in Etihad’s Journey 2030 growth strategy. As the first narrow body aircraft with first class, the new addition to the fleet is “setting a new standard for single aisle flying”, according to the Abu Dhabi-based carrier.

The first class offering consists of two first suites with sliding door, lie-flat bed, “elevated” dining and bespoke design touches. It will have enough space for a companion to sit along with a 20 inch 4K entertainment screen with Bluetooth pairing and wireless charging.

In business class, travellers will enjoy forward-facing widebody-style seats, all with direct aisle access in a 1-1 herringbone layout with 14 fully-flat 78 inch beds.

“Each seat includes a 17.3” 4K screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging, and ample personal storage,” the airline said.

The aircraft will also feature 144 “next generation” economy seats.

“The A321LR will serve many of Etihad’s new destinations in 2025, expanding the airline’s global reach and offering more travel options than ever before,” the airline said.

“For Australian guests, travellers can experience the new product from Abu Dhabi on Etihad’s third daily Milan and Paris services, along with daily flights from Copenhagen and Dusseldorf – and more.”
