Grand reintroduction for Grand Hyatt Singapore

Multi-year, multi-million, multi-faceted refurbishment of Singapore icon completed

Last Updated

July 1, 2025

Grand Hyatt Singapore has officially completed an extensive multi-year redevelopment. The project redefines the 54-year-old icon as a contemporary haven of wellness, and meaningful luxury.

With the reopening of the Grand Wing, relocated Grand Club Lounge and refurbished 10|Scotts, the property stands poised to set a new benchmark for integrated lifestyle hospitality in the Orchard Road area.

The phased reopening of Terrace Wing in July 2024 introduced a tranquil, nature-inspired retreat that reflects Singapore’s identity as a City in Nature. Now, with the debut of the refreshed Grand Wing and Grand Club, the hotel offers 699 redesigned rooms and suites, seven dining concepts, an extensive wellness hub, and 16 event spaces.

“The completed transformation of Grand Hyatt Singapore marks a new milestone for the city’s evolved hospitality landscape,” said Edouard Demptos, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Singapore.

“Today, we embark on an exciting new chapter — deepening our commitment to sustainability, wellbeing, and immersive guest experiences, while continuing to deliver the warm, intuitive service and care that has always defined us for decades.”

Introducing the Grand Wing

Designed by Tokyo-based studio Strickland, the Grand Wing offers a refined urban experience infused with the vibrancy of Singapore. All 407 rooms, including redesigned Deluxe Rooms, now feature open-plan spaces with warm walnut flooring, Peranakan-inspired accents, and striking Patagonia Stone in the bathrooms. Terracotta orange tones and contemporary geometric patterns reflect the city’s energy while maintaining the serenity of a luxurious stay.

Strickland also reimagined the hotel’s reception and public spaces, where a sculptural centrepiece and carved louvers echo Peranakan motifs, and ceiling fins made of local wood wrap the Grand Lobby with a sense of warmth.

The Grand Club

Relocated to the mezzanine level of the Grand Wing, the new Grand Club lounge offers elevated privileges for suite and World of Hyatt elite guests, including daily breakfast, all-day refreshments, and a well-loved evening cocktail hour featuring premium pours and a rotating selection of gourmet small plates. Whether for quiet reflection, informal meetings, or unwinding with city views, the lounge offers an experience that is both refined and distinctly local.

With the reopening of 10|Scotts on 3 July 2025, diners can embark on a gastronomic journey rooted in culture and craftsmanship, such as Singapore’s most-loved halal buffet at StraitsKitchen featuring signature dishes from across Southeast Asia, to hearty Italian classics at Pete’s Place, and Oasis, a lifestyle destination by the pool.

At Damai, the hotel’s integrated Wellness Hub, guests can enjoy therapeutic spa rituals backed by science and traditional remedies, as well as new-age facilities, like the Halo Steam Room, Air Lounge Hydro Pool, Dual Therapy Sauna, Wellness Pool, and outdoor guided fitness sessions. Members enjoy access to a holistic suite of facilities, including the outdoor movement lawn, thermal-hydro experiences, and state-of-the-art gym, alongside unlimited classic group classes like Chair Yoga and Wall Yoga.

Damai, Grand Hyatt Singapore

With the introduction of the Mind Body Therapy Wall, the only one of its kind in a Singapore hotel, Damai’s commitment to accessible, results-driven movement is exemplified in its provision of safe, supported movement to enhance flexibility, alignment, and mind-body awareness, offering guests, members, and the wider community a unique approach to conscious movement, recovery, and strength-building.

To celebrate this grand transformation, guests can look forward to a series of events featuring reimagined gourmet indulgence, wellness retreats and enhanced World of Hyatt rewards from 18 July till 14 September 2025.
