As Australians embrace the chill of winter by a cosy fireplace, Adventure World is inviting travel advisors to check out its Nordic Family Adventure itinerary. The six-day journey to Finnish Lapland, according to Adventure World, was designed “to create lasting family memories amidst a stunning Christmas winter wonderland.”
As part of the Nordic Family Adventure, guests will stay at the Northern Lights Village Pyhä, an eco-friendly resort where the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) can often be witnessed directly from the comfort of your Aurora cabin or Skyview Suite. From here, families will have the chance to search for Santa Claus and his elves. They will bake gingerbread with Santa’s elves, meet his reindeer, take a sleigh ride through the “enchanted” forest and embark on a quest to discover Santa’s hidden cabin for a chat and a symbolic family gift.

In addition, travellers will visit Kopara Reindeer Farm to learn about the Sámi people and their history of reindeer herding. Again, guests can enjoy a magical reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest. For a more thrilling experience, families can also immerse themselves in the winter wonderland via snowmobile. A “husky safari” where guests can speed through the snow-covered fells and forests, driven by their own team of huskies (an adventure suitable for all ages).
Lubica Sibikova, Product Manager for the Nordic region at Adventure World, adds that “every moment of the Nordic Family Adventure is designed to ignite wonder for kids and grown-ups alike.”
This itinerary departs daily between late November and late April and can be customised to suit individual family needs. Note: There is currently limited availability for December 2025, but January 2026 and December 2027 both have availability.
