Golden Eagle Luxury Trains will make its return to China in 2026 after seven years with the Golden Eagle Silk Road Express, as part of its newly launched 2026 program of all-inclusive journeys. The reintroduction of China to Golden Eagle Luxury Trains’ operation was flagged first by LATTE in January.

The journey will be complemented by the brand-new Vietnam Express debuting in April 2026. The two can be combined for a 14-day exploration of the two countries.

The new additions come as rail journeys continue to grow in popularity, with the 2026 schedule featuring more trains, extended routes and enhanced luxury across Asia and Europe.

“Additional departures and trains allow guests to explore more destinations with Golden Eagle, especially those who appreciate the elegance and timelessness of travelling by private train,” said James Masterson, Product Development Manager.

“We’re committed to setting trends in luxury rail travel by exploring new countries and captivating destinations, in style, comfort and safety. We know Australians embrace the concept of luxury rail and we look forward to taking care of them through 2026 and beyond.”

Also returning is the Paris to Istanbul route, which launched in 2025 and will now feature four departures in 2026. Golden Eagle is also introducing a new nine-day tour through Turkey, which includes Cappadocia, set to debut in September.

The ever-popular Festive Collection also features in the new program, headlined by the New Year in Vienna experience. Additionally, new Cruise & Rail packages in partnership with Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will offer travellers even more options.

On board innovations are another highlight of the new program, according to Masterson. “We’re actively collaborating with top designers to continually enhance our fleet, with exciting onboard innovations and upcoming partnerships coming soon,” he said.

Guests aboard Golden Eagle trains can expect “elegant style, service and comfort” with all-inclusive packages covering private ensuite accommodation, meals and drinks, personal cabin attendants, fully guided excursions, gratuities, transfers, premium hotels and even a UK-registered medical doctor on board.
