British Airways has announced it is boosting flights to popular long-haul destinations from London Gatwick and Heathrow ahead of next summer, offering customers even more choice and flexibility when booking their next summer getaway.
The United States
In the U.S., British Airways is upping its total flights to Austin, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami, New York and San Diego.
Specifically, the New York (JFK) route will operate exclusively from London Heathrow, improving connectivity for travellers with optimal onward connection times. By summer 2026, the airline will operate nine flights from Heathrow to New York, with the latest addition at Heathrow operating on its 777-200 fleet, complete with First Class and Club Suite (long-haul business class) seating.

Elsewhere in the States, British Airways will reintroduce its double-daily service from London Heathrow to Miami International Airport. Additionally, the airline will reintroduce its daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth. The airline has also increased its services from Heathrow to Las Vegas from 10 to 13 flights per week.
Lastly, the carrier is upgrading its services to San Diego and Austin, flying to both destinations 14 times per week.
Bangkok, Thailand
Following the addition of Bangkok last year, British Airways has confirmed that it will begin operating year-round flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, upgrading the route from its previous winter-only schedule.

Starting in summer 2026, services to and from Bangkok will operate three times per week, with the airline operating six weekly flights during the winter season. Tip. British Airways also recently expanded its codeshare partnership with Bangkok Airways, so customers can now connect across the Pacific to Phuket, Phnom Penh and beyond.
Middle East and Africa
British Airways has announced that it will offer a daily service from Heathrow to Bahrain, more than doubling the number of times it flies there per week, offering business and leisure travellers much more choice with dates when booking.
For travellers looking to explore Saudi Arabia, British Airways will be transitioning Jeddah to five flights per week and Riyadh to 14 weekly services.
British Airways will also now fly to Doha 14 times per week, offering greater flexibility and convenience for travel to and from Qatar.

In addition, British Airways’ short-haul route map expanded earlier this year with the addition of Rabat in Morocco. This will be a year-round service.
Other Updates
An additional weekly service to Kingston, Jamaica, from London Gatwick has been announced, as well. British Airways will fly four flights per week for the summer 2026 season, adding over 300 seats weekly for customers travelling between Jamaica and London.
Also in the airlines short-launch route map is the soon-to-launch Graz, Austria, beginning service this winter.
